DataPro Limited, one of Nigeria’s Credit Rating Agencies, is celebrating its 30th anniversary during its yearly webinar on 9 October 2025.

According to a statement by DataPro’s Executive Director, Operations, Oladele Adeoye, the theme for the webinar is “The Role of Credit Rating Agencies in a Dynamic Global Economy.”

The keynote speaker at the event is the renowned scholar and industry expert, Prof. Mahesh Kotecha, who is the President of the American-based Structured Credit International (SCIC).

The statement explained that Kotecha is expected to speak on the topic “Leveraging Credit Rating for Economic Growth in Developing Countries.”

He gave a lineup for the panellist session to include Angela Jide-Jones, CEO of Sewa Capital Limited; Obed Mbuzi, Director of Premier Rating Services; and Vidhyasagar Lingesan, CEO of Care Ratings. Other members of the panel are Zwelibanzi Maziya, COO of Sovereign Africa Ratings, and Dauda Sembene, CEO of AfriCatalyst, while Oladele Adeoye, the Chief Rating Officer of DataPro, will be moderating the session.

Adeoye said the virtual event is expected to be broadcast live on YouTube and all other social media outlets, even as it will witness the cutting of the anniversary cake and the launch of the biography of DataPro founder, Abimbola Adeseyoju.

Also expected at the event to deliver goodwill messages are Dr Emomotimi Agama, the Director General of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Nigeria; Ms Halima Singateh, Director of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Gambia; and Dr Bonaventure Okhaimo, the Managing Director of the National Credit Guarantee Company (NCGC).

Adeoye said all registered participants at the webinar would receive a free copy of the founder’s autobiography and other DataPro 30th anniversary souvenirs.
