A YOUNG inventor from Kokori in Ethiope East Council of Delta State, Peter Oghenebrume, has perfected machines for mass production of rich fish meal.
A statement by Media Director of Rescue Delta Media Group (RDMG), Dr. Fred Oghenesivbe, noted that though previous administrations at the state and federal level had abandoned the oil-rich community, the youths were committed to agro allied businesses as means of wealth creation as well as a veritable employment medium.
“Before now, Kokori Town was rumoured to be the den of criminals but is now pointing the way forward for innovation, creativity and industrialization,” he noted.
The group urged the Bank of Industry (BoI), the state and federal governments as well as federal financial institutions to partner with enterprising Kokori youths by way of funding upgrade of the production machines, provision of technical and managerial skills’ support services for youths in the area “who are currently working in synergy to create jobs for themselves and other youths in Delta State and Nigeria in general.”
Oghenesivbe stressed that Kokori wass fast becoming a role model in terms of youth skills acquisition through self-help, adding that it was only proper for the state government under its, “Prosperity for All Deltans mantra,” to swing into action by assisting the youths to expand on their entrepreneurial breakthrough and survival capacities.
