Dexa Medica partners FRSC to enhance road safety in Gombe

Some motorcyclists that benefitted from the crash helmet initiative by Dexa Medica, in Gombe State.

Renowned pharmaceutical company and makers of Boska, Dexa Medica, has joined forces with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) to champion safer roads in Gombe State by donating 700 helmets to commercial motorcyclists, popularly known as Okada riders.
 
The partnership was officially unveiled in a grand event attended by government officials and representatives of the Okada riders’ community and other stakeholders.
 
At the event, Gombe State Commissioner for Internal Security and Ethical Orientation, Lt-Col. Abdullahi Bello (rtd), praised Dexa Medica for its commitment to creating awareness about safety, especially at the grassroots level, among Okada riders.He commended the company for extending its safety initiative to the community and promised to relay the message to Governor Muhammad Yahaya of Gombe.
 
Sector Commander of FRSC in Gombe, Felix Theman, emphasised the importance of Okada riders wearing helmets for their safety. He applauded Dexa Medica for collaborating with FRSC, stating that such partnerships were crucial in promoting safety and well-being in the state.
 
Brand Manager of Dexa Medica, Nnamdi Ezeani, expressed gratitude to the FRSC for giving the company an opportunity to contribute to the noble cause of enhancing safety and wellness in the state.
 
Ezeani highlighted the donation of helmets to Okada riders as a testament to Dexa Medica’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and its focus on protecting lives and promoting wellness.
 
The collaboration between Dexa Medica and FRSC is seen as a noteworthy example of CSR in action, with specific emphasis on safety and the protection of lives.
 
The donation of helmets to Okada riders aligns with the shared goal of ensuring the well-being of the community. In response to the initiative, Okada riders expressed appreciation to Dexa Medica and FRSC for providing them with crash helmets, pledging to prioritise safety by consistently wearing the protective gear.
