R-L: Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt Hon Yakubu Dogara, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike and Deputy Governor Ipalibo Harry Banigo during the commissioning of Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge by the Speaker on Friday.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon Yakubu Dogara has described Rivers State governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, as a refiner’s fire, who has diligently transformed the state. He spoke, last Friday, when he commissioned the Woji-Elelenwo Dual Carriageway and Bridge, a major inter-change between three local government areas of Obio/Akpor, Port Harcourt and Eleme.

He said: “Refiner’s fire brings out the best. I am exceedingly proud of what Governor Wike has done.”While congratulating the people of Rivers State for having Wike, the Speaker noted that though he belongs to the APC, as a parliamentarian, the entire country is his constituency. He said only tribalists are restricted to their tribes and political parties.

Dogara noted that in view of the developmental nature of major projects outlined by Governor Wike, President Muhammadu Buhari would honour Rivers State government’s invitation to perform the commissioning. Responding, Wike said Nigeria needs democracy dividends and not party politics.
