Don makes case for law against discrimination of PWDs
In the wake of the recent signing into law of the Discrimination Against Persons With Disabilities (Prohibition) Act 2019 by President Muhammadu Buhari, the provost, Institute of Counselling in Nigeria, Dr. Tolulope Oko-Igaire, has urged stakeholders to help implement the law.
Tolulope made the statement during the first Most Beautiful Deaf Girl in Nigeria Beauty Pageant, which took place at the main hall of Standard Bearers School in Lekki, Lagos State.
She said, “For so long, the deaf around us have been forced into an isolated world where their potential can’t be appreciated and enjoyed.”
