The Kingdom Women, yesterday, said religious organisations should go beyond just praying for the girl-child to achieve her destines by speaking out but also helping them to speak out when abused or molested.
Convener of Kingdom Women, a group of value-based and bible-believing women, Mrs. Adun Akinyemiju, who stated this at a briefing to announce a prayer walk slated for Friday, May 27, 2022, to mark the Children’s Day, said that religious bodies should prioritise support for the girl-child through preachings and programmes to see them become fulfilled ladies in life.
She said as part of the programmes for the week, the group would be visiting some government secondary schools on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, to speak to not less than 1,500 female students, as well as encourage them to take their place in destiny.
Akinyemiju said girls would be encouraged to understand that God created them beautifully and wonderfully and they should take responsibility for their God-given future.
