DPR intercepts 63 diverted trucks of fuel in Kano
A total of 63 trucks loaded with fuel meant for Kano, Bauchi and Yobe states, but diverted have been intercepted by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) in Kano and sold at government approved price.
In a briefing, the Operations Controller supervising Kano and Jigawa, Isah Tafida, told the media men that his department has intensified effort in making the product available at the filling stations.
He said: “Gombe and Maiduguri DPR offices were placed on alert over the trucks dispatched to their states, to ensure delivery and monitor sales to the public.
“Furthermore an intense monitoring operations on distribution of PMS has reduced long queues at petrol stations, “ he said.
