The Digital Scouting Africa (DSA) Talent Showcase, the flagship initiative of Tosmicom Sports, is set to take centre stage from 3 to 5 April 2025 at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna. Designed to bridge the gap between grassroots football talent in Africa and professional opportunities abroad, the event promises to be a crucial stepping stone for young players seeking international recognition.

This showcase serves as a precursor to the highly anticipated Scouting Championship scheduled for the third week of May 2025, which will welcome scouts and club directors from Europe and Major League Soccer (MLS). The event offers a rare opportunity for aspiring footballers to demonstrate their abilities to international talent spotters.

Digital Scouting Africa is the first hybrid scouting platform in Africa, merging live scouting with advanced digital technology, verified player data analysis, and performance metrics. By leveraging cutting-edge tools previously reserved for elite players, DSA ensures that talented athletes receive the exposure they need to advance their careers. Through its digital portal, the platform provides detailed player statistics, performance data, and scouting profiles, allowing international clubs and agents to assess players remotely.

The Kaduna edition follows the success of the Lagos showcase, held from 27 to 31 January 2025 at the Inspire Sports Arena in Cappa, Oshodi, where 16 teams from Lagos competed. The upcoming event focuses on Northern-based teams, with clubs from Kaduna, Kano, Yobe, and Abuja set to participate.

In a move to enhance player visibility, all matches will be filmed, and comprehensive digital profiles—featuring full match footage, performance analysis, and key statistics—will be created for each participant. These profiles will be accessible via the official Digital Scouting Africa portal, which is in the final stages of development, and shared with DSA’s extensive network of international clubs, scouts, and agents.

“Our mission is to empower young African athletes by providing them with the exposure and tools necessary to succeed on the global stage,” said Adebayo Oluwasegun, founder and CEO of Digital Scouting Africa and Tosmicom Sports Agency. “By leveraging technology and strategic partnerships, we are creating pathways for these talents to connect with professional opportunities abroad.”

This digital approach allows scouts and club officials worldwide to evaluate players remotely before witnessing them in action at the Scouting Championship in May. Notably, only teams that present top talents during the Talent Showcase will earn invitations to the main championship, making this event a critical proving ground.

As the DSA Talent Showcase draws near, it stands poised to redefine football scouting in Africa, ensuring that the continent’s emerging stars receive the recognition they deserve.
