DSS quizzes ex-Ogun PDP governorship candidate, Ladi Adebutu
The Department of State Services (DSS) has quizzed Ladi Adebutu, the governorship candidate of the PDP in the 2023 election in Ogun State.
The DSS invitation may be connected to an incident that occurred in the Iperu area of Ogun State on Saturday, during which Adebutu was alleged to have mobilised thugs and illegal police operatives to disrupt the local government elections across the local government area.
However, Adebutu has refuted the allegation, stressing that some hoodlums attempted to kill his son, leading to an exchange of fire between them and his security details.
Reacting to Adebutu’s invitation by the DSS, Akinloye Bankole, PDP’s Director of Media & Publicity in Ogun State, said the former governorship candidate honoured the invitation as a law-abiding citizen.
“Yes, he was invited by the dept earlier this afternoon, and as a law-abiding citizen, he went in to honour the invite in the company of our State Chairman, Hon. Yomi Tella, and a few party chiefs,” he said in a text message.
