EFCC arrest: My silence is based on lawyer’s advice- Adeherself

Social media Influencer Adedamola Adewale, also known as Adeherself, on Tuesday said she won’t be saying anything yet on her arrest and arraignment by the Economic and Finanacial Crimes Commission based on her lawyer’s instructions.

Adewale who spoke for the first time after her arrest by EFCC said the case is still ongoing hence her silence on the issue.

“I’m sorry I have not been able to say much about what has been going on concerning the whole situation on ground,” Adewale said on Instagram on Tuesday.

“Please understand that this still an ongoing case, and I’m following the instructions of my lawyers…”

EFCC had on June 16 announced the arrest of Adewale alongside four others for alleged internet fraud.

The commission said Adewale, 20, and her accomplice, Lamina Hamzat Ajibola, were arrested at the Agungi area of Lekki, Lagos State.

EFCC, however, stated that Adewale was charged to court based on evidence found in her possession. She was eventually released on 24th July after meeting her bail terms.

The 20-year-old, however, said she will never give up no matter how hard things may get while tacitly maintaining her innocence.

“If there’s one thing I’ve learnt in life, it’s to never give up no matter how hard things may get in life,” Adewale said.

“I will come out of this victorious, and by the special grace of God with the help of my counsellor, I’ll be Adeherself the real King of Queens once again.”

She, however, characterised her ongoing production by the EFCC has painful phase she never expected to face.

“I Am Adeherself, yes I’m cheerful, happy, playful, energetic, and free-spirited, I wunt (sic) deny the fact that right now I’m in pains and presently going through a phase I never imagined I could ever face in life,” Adewale said.
