Stephen-OronsayeTHE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) will on Monday arraign a former Head of Service (HoS), Mr. Steve Oronsaye, in court for alleged corruption.

The Commission’s spokesman, Wilson Uwajaren, confirmed to The Guardian that the former HoS, though on administrative bail and had been visiting the EFCC office on summons, would be facing the court on Monday.

Details of the allegations against Oronsaye has been scanty but Uwajeren told The Guardian that “the charges will be known when he gets to court.”

It would be recalled that EFCC Chairman, Ibrahim Lamorde, had in January this year at a press conference said that the commission would start prosecuting some former Heads of Service, former ministers and former governors.

The same month, the EFCC made moves to strengthen its collaboration with some international law enforcement agencies such as the Metropolitan Police, the French Police and others across the world to ensure that no corrupt government official escapes from the country.
