Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has extended warm felicitations to the Muslim faithful across the state on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement in Abeokuta, the governor described Ramadan as a sacred period marked by deep reflection, devotion, self-discipline, and renewed commitment to the service of the Almighty Allah and humanity.
He commended the Muslims for their steadfastness throughout the 30-day fasting.
Abiodun, who expressed appreciation to the Muslim community for their continuous prayers for peace, progress, and good governance in Ogun State and Nigeria at large, urged the Muslim faithful not to relent in upholding the virtues of patience (sabr), generosity, humility, and righteousness.
ALSO, the immediate past governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, has extended warm greetings to the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria on the successful completion of the holy month of Ramadan.
In a statement yesterday by his media office, Fayemi, who congratulated Muslims on their devotion, discipline, and spiritual renewal during the period of fasting, prayer, and charity, noted that Eid-el-Fitr is a time to reinforce the values of compassion, sacrifice, humility, and love for humanity.
IN the same vein, Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has extended warm felicitations to Muslims in Oyo State and across Nigeria as they celebrate the 2026 Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement, yesterday, by his Special Adviser on Media, Dr Sulaimon Olanrewaju, the governor commended Muslim faithful for their steadfastness, discipline and devotion throughout the 30-day fasting period, noting that their sacrifices and spiritual commitment exemplify the virtues of faith, patience and selflessness as enshrined in Islam.
Makinde said the conclusion of Ramadan presents an opportunity for adherents of the Islamic faith to sustain the lessons of piety, compassion and generosity imbibed during the fasting period, urging them not to relent in prayers and acts of charity.
The governor charged the faithful to seek divine guidance and blessings for the continued peace, progress and prosperity of Oyo State and the country at large.
SIMILARLY, Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, has congratulated Muslims on the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.
The governor, in a statement by his Special Adviser on Media, Yinka Oyebode, described the completion of the Ramadan fast as a spiritually fulfilling experience for Muslims.
He commended the Muslim Ummah in Ekiti State for their devotion and commitment to the observance of one of the most important pillars of the Islamic faith.
Oyebanji, who admonished Muslims in the state and Nigeria to pray for the success of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, charged the Muslim community to pray for the successful conduct of the forthcoming governorship election in the state.
