The Kemitoye Care and Support Foundation has donated a cow, assorted food items, beverages, drinks and toiletries to Al’ Yatama Foundation Orphanage in Sherrette Village, Abuja, as part of activities to mark Eid-el-Kabir.
The organisation also donated notebooks, textbooks, and school uniforms and a cheque to clear the huge outstanding medical bills incurred by the orphanage, promising to build a clinic for the orphanage, which house about 500 children.

Presenting the items to the orphanage, the NGO’s Coordinator, Janet Shehu, said that the foundation was concerned about the plights of orphans and less privileged in the society.
Shehu stated that in the spirit of Sallah Celebration, the foundation deemed it necessary to put smiles on the faces of the orphans, despite the economic challenges. She said: “Beyond the challenges we have in this country, we should not say because they are orphans, they shouldn’t celebrate during this festive period.”
