Elections Results 2015: APC wins House of Assembly seats in Ikorodu, Somolu
As more results are released in Lagos State, APC’s Mr Sanai Agunbiade (Ikorodu l) and Mr Saka Solaja, (Ikorodu Il) constituencies have won the seats.
Agunbiade, a third-term legislator, scored 34,371 votes to beat Abatan Kazeem of PDP with 22,368 votes, according to Mr Mathew Aletan, the Returning Officer for Ikorodu I.
He said: “I, Aletan Mathew Shola, the returning officer, announce that Sanai Agunbiade of APC scored 34,371 votes, while Abatan Kazeem of PDP polled 22,368’’.
Solaja, a former Treasurer of Ikosi-Isheri Local Council Development Area, received 17,032 votes, while Oluwasesan Akeju of PDP got 12,077 votes.
Prof. Carol Opara, the Returning Officer, said: “Having satisfied the requirements of the law, I hereby declare Solaja of APC the winner with 17,032 votes.’’
She disclosed that 1,743 votes were rejected.
In Shomolu, the APC won the two House of Assembly seats in Shomolu Local Government Area.
Dr Adelaja Odukoya, the Returning Officer, on Sunday announced the results of Shomolu Constituency I and II.
Odukoya said that in Shomolu Constituency I, Mr Rotimi Olowo of the APC scored 18, 419 votes to emerge winner, while Mr Babatunde Oladejo of PDP had 12,066 votes.
Other results as announced by the returning officer are Folashade Ilesanmi of PPA 16 votes and Micheal Ukeje of UPP, one vote.
In Shomolu Constituency II, she declared OMr Rotimi Abiru, winner with 25, 680 votes followed by Adedoyin Banjo of PDP who had 21,613 votes and Kenneth Chukwuemeka of APGA polled 2,161 votes.
Others are Olaleke Olaleye of AD with 91 votes, Josephine Ndidi of UPP with nine votes and Kingsley Kelechi of NNPP with eight votes.
