Emir of Rano Tafida Abubakar Ila dies
Emir of Rano, Alhaji Tafida Abubakar Ila, 75, Auta Bawo is dead.
The first class emir of Rano Emirate died at Abdullahi Wase Specialist Hospital in Kano on Saturday after brief illness.
Confirming the death, former speaker of Kano State house of assembly and member representing Rano, Kibiya and Bunkure Federal constituency at the house of representatives, Alhaji Kabiru Alhassan Rirum said the remains of late emir will be buried soon according to Islamic rites.
The deceased left behind two wives and 17 children and many grandchildren.
Late emir of Rano was one of the four new first class chiefs with full royal emirates appointed by Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in May 2019.
