#EndBadGovernance: Senator Ngwu commends Enugu’s support for Gov Mbah
The Minority Whip of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Osita Ngwu, has expressed his delight that the people of Enugu State have refrained from participating in the ongoing nationwide protests under the #EndBadGovernance movement.
The senator, who represents Enugu West Senatorial District, monitored the situation in his state and praised the residents, particularly the youth, for continuing with their daily activities instead of joining the protests.

Senator Ngwu interpreted this decision as a show of solidarity and an expression of satisfaction with the administration of Governor Peter Mbah. He acknowledged the difficult socioeconomic conditions in the country but commended the people of Enugu for their understanding and support of the state governor, who he said has demonstrated a commitment to the welfare of the Enugu populace over the past year.
Ngwu called on citizens in other states, especially where protests have turned violent, to emulate the people of Enugu by remaining calm and giving the central government another chance to address their concerns. He assured that the National Assembly is actively seeking legislative interventions to improve the situation.
The senator urged Enugu residents to continue supporting Governor Mbah, encouraging him to further provide the dividends of democracy, particularly in infrastructure development, where significant progress has been made.
