Former Military Administrator of Ondo State, Brigadier-General Sunny Esijolomi Tuoyo (rtd) is dead. He died in Lagos on December 17, 2022 at the age of 87 years. Former Military Administrator of Ondo State, Brigadier-General Sunny Esijolomi Tuoyo (rtd) is dead.
He died in Lagos on December 17, 2022 at the age of 87 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Shayegbe Henrietta Tuoyo, and his children: Mrs Roli Uduaghan, Mrs Ete Ambah, Ms. Temi Tuoyo, Ms. Tosan Tuoyo, Mr. John Tuoyo and Mr. Peter Tuoyo and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Tuoyo served in the Nigerian Army from 1961 in a highly decorated career. He was a member 3rd Marine Commando and Military Administrator of Ondo State from 1978 to 1979 and also served in the UN Peacekeeping missions to the Democratic Republic of Congo and India/Pakistan.
He retired from the army in 1984 to manage his business until his final retirement in 1998.
The family will announce burial arrangements.
