Excitement as Berger builds water boreholes, toilets within Abuja-Kano road corridor
Users are excited that Julius Berger built and donated boreholes and toilets to schools on the Abuja-Kano Road corridor.

At Government Girls Secondary School, Yadakwari, the entire school made up of over 800 students and the teachers as well as community leaders, sang the firm’s praises for coming to their aid.
Principal of the school, Wasila Shuaibu, who appreciated the gesture said: “We are very pleased with the outstanding contributions made by Julius Berger. We now have a borehole and toilets on our school premises. To others, it might be a small one, but to us here at Government Girls Secondary School, it is a very big move made by the company.
“On behalf of the Management and students, we say a very big thank you to the construction giant for finally putting smiles on our faces.”
Village Head of Yadakwari, Mohammed Ibrahim, said lack of good water has been one major problem of the community and expressed gratitude to Julius Berger Nigeria Plc, for providing them with good water, which will not just benefit the school, but the community at large.
“Now, we can comfortably have good water to take home to our children and families,” he exclaimed.
At the Government Junior Secondary School co-exist, Tariwa, Kano State, students and National Youth Corps (NYSC) members danced and sang praises to Julius Berger, displaying appreciation placards.
Head Teacher of the school, Mallam Iliyasu Ibrahim, who spoke on behalf of the staff, parents and the pupils thanked and prayed for Julius Berger.
He said: “I say thank you for what you have done for us, and we pray that God in His infinite mercies bless you richly. The company shall grow higher and God’s favour will not elude it.”
An excited corps member, Mr. James Dantata, said: “We really love the work done here by Julius Berger, the company has a way of doing its CSR by taking it to the rural areas as well. Thank you for bringing quality water to us here.
“ We would also like to extend our sincere gratitude to the management of Julius Berger. Please accept our sincere appreciation and thank you for your kind CSR gesture.”
Representative of the Village Head of Tariwa, Ado Lawal, extended his gratitude to the management of Julius Berger Nigeria for the newly constructed borehole and toilets.
“Words won’t be able to show how happy we feel. I pray God rewards the company and continuously blesses the works of their hands. Once again, Thank You,” he said.
Speaking earlier, the leader of Julius Berger CSR team, Engr. Yusuf Ibrahim, said the projects were in continuation of the firm’s determination to touch the lives of communities and a strong commitment to its CSR in its operational sites.
