Expert  urges tech professionals to embrace AI  for business growth

A digital expert,  Enoch Alonge, has urged tech professionals to adopt Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enhance business growth and drive meaningful change in communities.

Alonge, a Systems, Applications and Data processing consultant,  stated this at a recent workshop in Lagos. The event was organised by Zanderz Blaze Charity Foundation (ZBCF), a non-governmental organisation (NGO) empowering underrepresented individuals in businesses.

The theme is: ‘Harnessing Artificial Intelligence (AI) for Empowerment: Building Global Tech Leaders from Underrepresented Communities.’ A Board Member of ZBCF, Alonge said the aim of the workshop was to equip the participants with essential AI, digital and leadership skills to become influential global tech leaders.

To him, “the workshop seeks to bridge gaps in access to cutting-edge AI education and create opportunities for nation-building through technology innovation. They would be exposed to AI-driven leadership development with emphasis on innovation, mentorship and inclusivity in tech leadership.”

Speaking further, Alonge said integrating AI into businesses was pivotal to ensure professionals become players in the global space. He added this would empower participants to make better decisions and become future-ready leaders. He said: “It will also foster cross-functional collaboration, knowledge sharing and guidance on leveraging AI for leadership growth.”

He said key AI technologies for leadership development included machine learning, virtual and augmented reality, predictive analytics and AI-driven leadership assessments.

Alonge urged the participants to focus on their vision, be resilient and adaptable to change because their technical skills alone would not automatically make them global tech leaders.

Conclusively, he stated, “while mastering AI will give you a competitive edge, true leadership comes from your ability to inspire others, make ethical decisions and use technology to drive meaningful change in your communities.”
