Experts task graduates to be pacesetters

Experts have tasked graduating students of Caleb International College (CIC) to be pacesetters for the younger generation to emulate.

The experts said this during the school’s valedictory service held at its premises in Magodo, Lagos. According to the Head of School, Philomena Igweze, the event, which also doubled as a prize-giving day was held to acknowledge the doggedness of students and parents in keeping up with the school requirements. Igweze however noted that the challenges faced by the school are the use of mobile phones, and difficulty of parents to pay fees due to financial constraints.

Member, Lagos state House of Assembly, representing Ifako Ijaiye community, Temitope Adewale who spoke on behalf of Lagos state speaker, Obasa Mudashiru, called on parents to support their children’s dream, adding the importance of vocational training and advised the graduating students to never give up on their dreams. Quality assurance Director, University of Lagos, Grace Otinwa, delivering the keynote speech said the graduating students should strive to be diligent in the university and take into cognizance school rules and regulations.

At the parents’ dinner, principal, senior school, CIC, Busola Adegbaju said the college appreciates the parents for entrusting them to nurture their kids.
