Former House of Representatives spokesman and 2023 candidate for Eket/Onna/ Esit Eket/Ibeno Federal Constituency on the platform of All Progressives Congress in Akwa Ibom State, Eseme Eyiboh, has asked the electorate to de-emphase party politics, religion and primordial sentiments while electing their representatives in the country.

He gave advice at Ekid Civic Centre during his consultative visit to Ekid People’s Union, yesterday. He charged his people to assess him based on his capacity and antecedents to offer the needed representation in the constituency.

He listed collaborations for full reactivation of Akwa Palms Industry Ltd in Esit Eket, reactivation of Qua River Hotel, intervention in the deplorable state of electricity supply and absence of financial institutions in Esit Eket as some of his plans for the people

He also promised to pursue the inclusiveness of Ekid nation in the socio-economic priority development policy of the state if given the opportunity to represent them at the Green Chambers.

While decrying the inability of many young persons to access offshore opportunities, Eyiboh believed that his constitutional duty of oversight would empower him to address the challenges in the sector and open a vista of hope to his constituents.

Earlier, the President-General of Ekid People’s Union, Dr. Samuel Udonsak, thanked Eyiboh for recognising the union by consulting it.

Acknowledging the concerns raised by Eyiboh, Udonsak stated that though EPU would not endorse anyone, members of the union were free to take decisions on who they would vote for based on their convictions.
