FACAN nominates Tarnongu as its Benue coordinator

The National Executive Council of the Federation of Agricultural Commodity Associations of Nigeria (FACAN) has approved the nomination of Mr. Vitalis Tarnongu as its coordinator in Benue.

The nomination is contained in a letter signed by Mr. Sheriff Balogun, FACAN National President, and made available to newsmen on Thursday in Makurdi.

The letter indicated that as the state coordinator, Tarnongu would be coordinating the chairmen of agricultural commodity associations in the state in line with their national secretariat’s directive.

“Ensure that each commodity association conforms to and complies with the directives of its national headquarters and FACAN.

“Relate cordially with the presidents/national chairmen of commodity associations existing in the state.

“Give the monthly report of the activities of FACAN in the state to the National Secretariat,” the letter read.

The letter stated that he would also coordinate the activities of the commodity associations to ensure good agricultural practices, quality produce and prices, processing and marketing.

Until his nomination, Tarnongu was the Benue State coordinator of the Beans/Cowpea Association.
