Fayemi plans Values Academy for Ekiti
Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi has disclosed plans to establish Values Academy in the state to restore the core values Ekiti was known for.
This was made known yesterday in Ado-Ekiti, just as Ekiti Council of Elders urged the governor to “vigorously pursue” the restoration of Ekiti values and dignity.
Presenting a copy of the book, Omoluabi, to Dr. Fayemi, the council’s president, Prof. Joseph Oluwasanmi, urged him to inculcate values orientation into the state’s schools curriculum.
“From time to time, we have been involved in advocacy to effect attitudinal change towards sustaining Ekiti core values. We remember with gladness your thrust during your first term to revive and sustain Ekiti values and dignity with ‘Ile Iyi, Ile Eye’, he said.
