Governor Kayode Fayemi has advised members of his cabinet to hit the ground running to earn the All Progressives congress (APC) another term in Ekiti State.

He stated that all political appointees are to sign a performance agreement bond, adding that there would be quarterly reviews of activities of all ministries, departments and agencies (MDAs).

The governor spoke yesterday at Iloko Ijesa, Osun State while opening a three-day retreat to equip the aides and clarify the deliverables of government within the four-year tenure.

Fayemi stated that “Ekiti people must start seeing evidence of governance now that a full complement of commissioners and special advisers has been appointed to drive our four cardinal agenda.”

During the event attended by over 100 senior public servants, the Ekiti chief executive submitted that the task of delivering on his campaign promises had become more daunting with the newly approved N30,000 national minimum wage.

He reiterated his commitment to prompt payment of workers.
