The Federal Capital Authority (FCT) Police Command, yesterday said, it has commenced investigation into the alleged killing and mutilation of a lady simply identified as Anita.

The Federal Capital Authority (FCT) Police Command, yesterday said, it has commenced an investigation into the alleged killing and mutilation of a lady simply identified as Anita.

Police operatives attached to the Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department (CIID) of the Command had arrested two ministers of a church in Kubwa in connection with the killing and mutilation of the lady.

Suspects

The suspects were arrested hours after a tricycle operator reported that he conveyed the three sacks used in concealing the body of the victim and those of two animals.

A source said: “The son of the church founder lied to the tricyclist that the sacks were scraps and asked him to take them to the PW Bridge dumpsite.

The following morning after scavengers broke the bags in their usual search for useful scraps, they discovered the content and alerted people.

The tricyclist was reportedly passing by when he saw a crowd at the dumpsite. Upon enquiry, he was told that human remains were found in sacks.

He then connected the incident to his trip to the dumpsite with the alleged killer apostle and went to the police to report it. He later led the police to the church.

Suspects

According to the FCT police spokesperson, Josephine Adeh, “Our officers are still investigating.”

However, the police could not say much to avoid jeopardising the investigation into the matter.

“But a trending video of the said incident with pictures of father and son is sufficient to lead for the police to work on,” said a concerned resident.
