FG assures early take off of maritime varsity
The Federal Government has restated its commitment to ensure early commencement of studies at the Nigerian Maritime University, Okerenkoko, Delta State by the next academic session.
The government said this is part of strategies to ensure peace and stability in the region.
The Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta and Coordinator of the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Brig.-Gen. Paul Boroh stated this during an interview with journalists in Abuja yesterday.
He also disclosed that Innoson Motors would establish a factory in the state soon to engage the 200 ex-militants who were trained by the company in automobile engineering.
Boroh said the Federal Government is employing various means to restore peace in the region.
“One of the strategies is to ensure that the maritime university takes off on schedule as planned by government,” he stated.
