Fintiri optimistic about 2025, urges Nigerians to shun intolerance
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State has expressed optimism for the New Year, assuring citizens that their hopes, dreams, and expectations for 2025 will be achieved.
Fintiri conveyed this message in his New Year statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Humwashi Wonosikou, in Yola yesterday. He urged Nigerians to maintain faith in the nation and its prospects, stating, “As a country, we have much to thank God for in 2024.”
Acknowledging the challenges faced by the populace, the governor noted that his administration had implemented poverty alleviation initiatives to provide relief. He pledged to continue building an inclusive economy in 2025, stating, “We will keep attracting historic investments into the state.”
Fintiri reassured citizens of ongoing efforts to enhance security and implement reforms aimed at advancing Adamawa. He added, “We will continue to make life affordable and remain committed to improving the lives of our people.”
Encouraging unity and collective action, Fintiri said, “In 2025, let’s continue to show up for one another, and together, let’s build a better future for everyone.’’
We must start by defining the kind of future we want and unite toward recreating the Nigeria of our dreams.” He emphasised that most of Nigeria’s challenges are man-made and require deliberate efforts by citizens to overcome them. The governor called on Nigerians to reject religious and ethnic intolerance, which he identified as major impediments to national progress.
