An IT consulting firm, Devosta Solution Limited, has launched an app, ‘Dice Tutors’ in Nigeria, to reduce unemployment and improve quality education for out-of-school children.

Chief Executive Officer of the firm, Ajayi Aiyesa, while highlighting the need for knowledge dissemination and its impact on society, said the focus of the app goes beyond acquiring knowledge but also centres on empowering users to share their expertise with others.

He expressed concern over the existing challenges faced by the Nigerian education system and lack of job opportunities, citing them as major reasons behind the app’s inception.

Aiyesa recounted a significant moment during a previous project when private tutors were mentioned, sparking the idea to create a platform that could significantly improve the education sector and curtail unemployment rate in Nigeria.

He said the world is now global while highlighting the vast opportunities that online connectivity brings.

Aiyesa expressed the company’s commitment to sponsoring students who cannot afford the service, and as well ensuring that education remains accessible to all, especially those in remote areas.

Also, Chief Operating Officer of the firm, Alade Aramide, who spoke about the platform’s offerings, said the platform caters for students of all abilities, ensuring that slow learners receive equal attention and support.

Aramide also emphasised the platform’s flexibility, allowing users to negotiate and customise their learning plans according to their specific needs.

She, however, expressed concerns about online safety during classes and urged parents to actively monitor their children’s participation.
