Nigerian affordable health coverage platform Health4Moni is launching the Art4Health campaign, culminating in an exhibition to raise ₦100 million for a Cancer and Chronic Care Fund (CCCF). The fund aims to support low and middle-income Nigerians struggling to afford essential medical treatment.

The initiative addresses the significant burden of chronic diseases in Nigeria, exacerbated by poverty and inadequate healthcare infrastructure. Many families face financial ruin when confronted with serious illness, often forced to sell assets or forego treatment due to cost.

The Art4Health campaign seeks to leverage the power of creativity to drive healthcare advocacy. The exhibition, opening on December 20th in Ikoyi, Lagos, will showcase works by renowned artists including Ife Olowu, The Painting Prophet, Rosaleen Labazzachy, and 4d Truth. Proceeds from the event will directly contribute to the CCCF.

“Each piece tells a story of resilience, hope, and humanity, capturing the profound connection between art and healing,” organizers stated. The exhibition aims to provide discounted care and co-payment assistance for 100 Nigerians battling chronic illnesses in 2025.

Health4Moni emphasizes art’s ability to inspire collective action, stating, “Each brushstroke, each piece on display, carries a message: no one should have to choose between health and financial survival.” The initiative underscores the belief that everyone deserves access to dignified healthcare, regardless of their economic circumstances.

Health4Moni, a health-tech social enterprise, focuses on providing affordable, quality healthcare to underserved Nigerians. Through innovative financing models and strategic collaborations, the organization tackles systemic barriers to healthcare access.

Founder Kemi Deborah Olakunle, a 2024 Bayer Foundation Awardee, has a history of working to improve healthcare access in Nigeria. She explained that managing a chronic disease is challenging enough without the added financial burden. “This is the goal of our interventions; to reduce the financial burden associated with seeking medical care. We hope you can join us on this journey of health for all, regardless of their socioeconomic status,” she said.
