Energy technology company, Schneider Electric has emphasised the need for reliable electricity systems capable of delivering enhanced performance, operational continuity, and digital capabilities.

It noted that such efforts are critical to supporting the region’s expansion across key sectors, including oil and gas, data centres, commercial real estate, and transportation.

Speaking on the development, Channel Sales Director, Schneider Electric West Africa,Nurudeen Oyedeji, emphasised that reliable and intelligent power distribution is essential to support economic growth and infrastructure development.

He argued that these sectors need high reliability and operational continuity- engineered for zero downtime tolerance with rapid restart capabilities, ensuring uninterrupted power distribution in critical applications.

This is as the firm announced the unveiling of its next-generation BlokSeT low-voltage (LV) switchboard, designed to deliver high performance, enhanced safety, and real-time visibility.

Commenting on the innovation, Oyedeji stated that the innovation, which he described having locally relevant solutions that support infrastructure growth, reduces downtime, optimises maintenance, and operates more efficiently in even the most demanding environments.

He highlighted several key features of the switchboard, including high reliability with rapid restart capability, enhanced safety through internal arc protection, and resilience in harsh conditions with corrosion-resistant components.

“The BlokSeT LV switchboard also supports the transition from traditional maintenance approaches to more advanced, predictive strategies, therefore, helping organisations improve efficiency while reducing operational risk,” he said.
