“Also, I want to state clearly that, my supporters and I are giving our unflinching support to the re-election of the incumbent president, Muhammadu Buhari, and all other governors, senators, from top to bottom under the platform of the APC,” he added.

Osifo was largely regarded as a sponsored spy within the party, a claim he denied vigorously.

He obtained the party’s nomination and intention forms for N10 million and N2 million respectively but was denied a space in the party’s primaries in October. In an attempt to protest his grievance the presidential hopeful threaten lawsuit.

Osifo decamped to APC the same day 12 presidential candidates endorsed Buhari’s re-election bid.
