Foundation awards scholarship to school children
The Mani Robson Foundation has awarded scholarship to over 30 secondary school children of Odukpani origin in Cross River State.
The Foundation said the beneficiaries, drawn from 16 different secondary schools in the council, were elected on merit.
Addressing the awardees, Chairman of the Foundation, Mr. Emmanuel Robson said: “You have this opportunity to be here because you have excelled above your equals in your respective schools. I believe that excellence should be rewarded.
“Mani Robson Foundation will continue to support young people in their quest for excellence. Some of you who are recipients of this award today will eventually become recipients of our award to study various courses in the university. The only criteria will be your persistence, consistency and excellence in your academic endeavour.”
He enjoined the students to shun cultism and other social vices that may derail them from the path of honour. He promised that some of them who do well in their final exams may again become beneficiaries of the foundation’s tertiary education scholarship fund.
Earlier, Chairman of the scholarship fund, Prince Samuel Ikpeme expressed gratitude to Mr. Robson for the kind gesture.
