Foundation donates school materials to eight communities in Kwara South

To support children from vulnerable backgrounds, the S.B. Adebayo Foundation (Samad) has donated educational materials to eight primary schools across Kwara South constituency through its Back-to-School Outreach programme.

The items donated included exercise books, pencils, biros, rulers, and erasers. Beneficiary schools include Jamat Muslim Primary School, Ora; ECWA Primary School, Ora, in Ifelodun Local Council; Community Primary School, Kabba-Dongari; Wesley Primary Schools 1 & 2, Offa; Igosun Muslim School, Offa; and St. James LGEA Primary School I & II, Offa.

Speaking during the presentation, the foundation’s founder, Ademola Adebayo, represented by Olayode Ola George, said the initiative was borne out of the realisation that government alone cannot bear the burden of education. He noted that the foundation sought to contribute in its own way by inspiring hope through access to learning.

“The foundation believes in the power of education as a tool for emancipation and empowerment for a better tomorrow. That is why we are donating these materials to various primary schools in Kwara South,” he said.

At Community Primary School, Kabba-Dongari, a settlement largely populated by Fulani and Hausa families, one of the teachers said the donation would ease the burden on parents who often struggled to provide their children with basic learning materials. The teacher added that the gesture would likely encourage more parents to enrol their wards.

Similarly, Adebayo, a teacher at Wesley Primary School, Offa, commended the initiative. “The foundation has given parents encouragement and provided an enabling environment for the pupils to learn through the gesture,” she said.

The foundation pledged to sustain the outreach and expand its support to more schools in the future.
