
The Bola Oyebade Foundation has held its sixth Annual Lecture and Awards with the theme: “Employing Alternative Models in Navigating the
Economic Challenges” where 20 widows were empowered with N50,000.00 each.
This was aimed at assisting the benefiaries to expand their trade. Also, 40 indigent students were provided with school uniforms.
Entrepreneurship Achievement Awards were given to Assistant General
Manager, Lands and Estate, Nigeria Ports Authority, who also is a two-
time President, Rotary Club of Onigbongbo, Mr. Rasaq Babatunde Salau
as well as Mr. Olayiwola Ajayi.
The Founder and Trustee Chairman, Bola Oyebade, who celebrated his birthday at the event, said the foundation was formed to lift individuals through economic empowerment and improve the
overall quality of lives in Nigeria.
“In future, the foundation will focus on empowerment through
Agricultural development, entrepreneurial activities, financial
support for traders among others.
He disclosed that the Foundation is targeting one hundred students to
be given uniforms out of whom 40 have collected.
Two widows out of the twenty beneficiaries empowered with money namely
Mrs. Suliat Ramon and Taiwo Abayawo were full of gratitude to the
Foundation.
The Guest Speaker was David Kolade Oluga.
Salau who said he did not have the fore-knowledge of the award until
he arrived at the occasion lauded the activities of the Foundation as
he urged Nigerians to support it in its quest to put smiles on the
faces of poor Nigerians.
