Foundation gives relief items to 2000 households in Edo
The traditional ruler of Ewu kingdom, the Onojie of Ewu, HRH Zaiki Rasaq Ojeifo III, yesterday, commended the President, Believers Love World, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome for impacting over 2,000 households with food items to cushion the effect of the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic.
Ojeifo III, describing the donor to Ewu Community, as a worthy son, said Oyakhilome has brought succour to his people and kinsmen.
He added that the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic has brought hunger to many families in the community and its environs.
Presenting the food items to the monarch, Zonal Pastor, Christ Embassy, Edo North/Edo Central Districts, Pastor Zunny Abu and team leader, Chris Oyakhilome Foundation International (COFI), Pastor Omoh Alabi in their speeches, said the food distribution was necessitated by the adverse effect of the virus.
“I would like to commend the efforts of government at the federal, state and local levels, including the traditional institutions in seeking to help the citizens, especially the poor in rural communities through various social interventions to extend the palliatives.”
