Ruth Joseph-Audu Women Foundation is set to empower women living in rural communities through skill-sets for them to thrive their in businesses.

This initiative aims to create an ecosystem for women to become financially stable.

Founded by Ruth Joseph-Audu, her vision is to give women financial empowerment, economic freedom and a voice through multi-dimensional skill empowerment program.

“While our approach ensures that women not only receive essential support when they need it most, but also gain the tools, skills, and opportunities required for sustained success and empowerment.”

She expressed concerns over the financial constraints even xacerbated by the high cost of living, emphasising the need for both men and women to skill up in an attempt to scale up their businesses.

“To support women entrepreneurs, we offer low-interest loans through our microcredit programs, providing the essential capital needed to start or expand their businesses. Our program is designed to not only give financial aid but also to empower women with the knowledge and tools necessary for sustainable growth.

“We provide comprehensive business training and mentorship programs designed to equip women with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive as entrepreneurs and leaders. Our approach includes practical workshops,”she said.

She added that the foundation runs community-based food banks that provide essential groceries to vulnerable women and their families.

“Regular distribution of staple Nigerian food items such as rice, beans, garri, yams, and other local groceries to those most in need. Partnerships with local farmers and food suppliers to ensure a steady supply of fresh and nutritious items, ensuring both quality and sustainability.

“Community outreach programs that raise awareness about food distribution schedules, available support, and how families can access these vital resources,” she said.
