Four die as car hits parked tricycle in Epe

Four persons died in Epe yesterday when a Toyota Camry car was involved in an accident with a tricycle. Spokesperson, Lagos Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident.

He said: “From the information gathered by police officers from Odo-Noforija Divisional Headquarters, Epe, the accident was as a result of a burst front tyre while on top speed. The car skidded off the road and rammed into the tricycle rider who was trying to wash his tricycle beside the culvert before somersaulting into the ditch. Unfortunately, all three adult males in the car and the tricycle rider lost their lives.

MEANWHILE, the body of a three-year-old girl, Seyi Jebose, who fell into well while playing in the compound of her house at No. 1, Gemini bus stop, Baruwa, Lagos, has been recovered, the LASEMA Response Team has disclosed.

According to the LASEMA spokesperson, Okunbor, the deceased was confirmed dead on arrival at Solad Hospital, Baruwa in Ipaja area of the state. Her body was handed over to her family members and officers of the Nigeria Police Force from Alagolo Police Station, led by Inspector Abumere.
