The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) and the Ekiti State Ministry of Transportation have reaffirmed their commitment to improving road safety and traffic management across the state.
FRSC Sector Commander, Corps Commander Sanya Adeoye, led a delegation on a courtesy visit to the Ekiti State Commissioner for Transport, Kolawole Kehinde Ajobiewe, to discuss areas of collaboration, according to a statement posted on the Corps’ official X account on Sunday.
The meeting, held to strengthen inter-agency cooperation, focused on tackling pressing traffic issues, including failed road portions, indiscriminate parking by trucks, and frequent violations of traffic lights.
Commander Adeoye stressed the need for urgent interventions, while Commissioner Ajobiewe praised the FRSC for its efforts in reducing road crashes and pledged the ministry’s support to address the concerns raised.
