FRSCTo further ease the issuance of Drivers license in Lagos, the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) has launched another service delivery centre in Agege area, the Lagos Sector Commander, Mr. Hyginus Omeje has disclosed.

Omeje, who spoke at the sensitization rally for commercial vehicle operators during the week in Agege, said FRSC is striving hard to improve the process of issuing the drivers license.

“The commission has been battling with issues of issuance of drivers license over the years because of the congestion in various offices, especially Ojodu office,” he explained.

He explained that there is no need for any commercial driver around Agege area going to our headquarters in Ojodu, while you can easily do it in Agege office, saving energy.

Omeje advised all commercial drivers to desist from obtaining their driving license through canvassers who specialise in issuance of fake license.

He warned that anyone caught driving with fake driver license shall be prosecuted by the law. In his address, SRC Odusola Fadairo stated that the objective of organizing the event was to improve service delivery and provide platform where commercial vehicle operators will procure genuine drivers license without wasting their precious time.

Also speaking at the sensitization programme, the director of Motor Vehicle Administration Agency (MVAA), Mr. Bunmi Ogunkoya noted that commercial drivers need more orientation in ensuring smooth driving manner on the highway.

He implored drivers to attend the Lagos State Drivers’ Institute at least once in a year for more education on how to drive properly.
