FRSC warns motorists against lane indiscipline, route violation

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Osun, has warned motorists against any form of traffic violation that could endanger lives during and after the Easter celebrations in the state.

The Sector Commander, Mr. Taofeek Sokumbi, gave the advice in a statement on Thursday in Osogbo.

Sokumbi said the command has finalized plans to ensure motorists complied with the safety regulations during the festivity period in order to avoid any kind of accident.

He called on motorists to be disciplined and embraced a defensive form of driving that would help reduce any form of eventualities.

“We are calling on motorists to avoid speeding and dangerous driving, overtaking, lane indiscipline and route violation.

“Road obstructions, use of phone while driving, overloading,
seat-belt and child restraint use violations should be avoided,” he said.

Sokumbi warned that the command will not spare any road traffic violators when apprehended.
