Girls Academy Class of 91/92 holds inaugural reunion meeting
The Girls Academy Secondary School, Simpson Street, Lagos Island class of 1991 and 1992 will hold its first reunion meeting on Saturday in Lagos.
Freedom Park, Lagos Island is venue of the reunion gathering of two sets-1991 and 1992 – from the Girls Academy.
Already, excitement is on the air for the event participants who are now into various respectable jobs, are eager to see one another 32 years after leaving their school.
The body came together earlier this year though a social media group after which elections were held into positions of those currently leading the Class of 91/92 set of the Academy.
After the election, Mrs Amudat Oshigunwa emerged President. Mrs Saidat Jabita was voted as Vice President just as Mrs Funmilola Salami came in as Secretary.
President Oshigunwa told our correspondent that all arrangements for the meeting had been concluded.
“We are anxious to see ourselves and have lots of fun after over 30 years of leaving school. My joy is that we are all doing well and so we have to connect and move on as more mature friends,” Oshigunwa said.
Giving back to the school is one of the major agenda of the reunion meeting which starts 10am on Saturday.
