Golden Penny Foods, a subsidiary of Flour Mills of Nigeria (FMN), has rewarded outstanding distributors and unveiled a new pasta product as part of activities marking its 2026 Business-to-Consumer (B2C) Dealers and Sales Conference held in Lagos.
The conference, themed “Reset, Rebound, Win Big”, brought together dealers, management, sales executives and key stakeholders from across the country to review business performance, strengthen partnerships and discuss growth strategies for the year ahead.
Speaking at the event held at Balmoral Hall, Ikeja, Managing Director of Golden Penny Foods, Devlin Hainsworth, described the company’s dealer network as a critical pillar of its success and market leadership.
“If you go the length and breadth of Nigeria, you will find a Golden Penny product in most households, but we could never have achieved that without our dealers. They work tirelessly every day to ensure our products reach wholesalers, retailers and ultimately Nigerian families,” he said.
According to Hainsworth, many of the company’s dealer relationships span decades, making them more than commercial partnerships.
He noted that the annual conference provides an opportunity to recognise dealers’ contributions, deepen collaboration and align strategies for future growth.
Also speaking, Sales Director, B2C, Golden Penny Foods, Ademola Adeoye, said the company remains committed to strengthening its distribution network through significant investments in logistics and redistribution infrastructure.
“We have almost 2,000 secondary sales points across Nigeria attached to our distributors. This year, we are investing close to N45 billion in redistribution infrastructure to support our dealers and improve product movement from warehouses to wholesale and retail channels,” he said.

A major highlight of the conference was the unveiling of Golden Penny Penne 500g, the latest addition to the company’s pasta range.
The company said the new product features a ridged texture designed to hold sauces more effectively and deliver improved flavour experiences for consumers.
Director of Marketing, Food Division, Golden Penny Foods, Ilyas Kazeem, said the launch reflects the company’s commitment to innovation and responsiveness to changing consumer preferences.
“For over six decades, Golden Penny has remained committed to nourishing families and bringing happiness to Nigerians through quality products. The launch of Golden Penny Penne reflects that promise and our commitment to meeting evolving consumer needs,” he said.
The conference also featured an awards ceremony recognising dealers for outstanding performance, loyalty and business growth.
In the National Core Category, Idris Saleh Nigeria Limited emerged overall winner, receiving a 2025 Toyota Hilux and a cash prize of N15 million.
Fulcrum Golden Heritage placed second and received a Toyota Hilux alongside N12 million, while Kay Jay Zenith Limited secured third place and was rewarded with a Toyota Hilux and N10 million.
In the Rising Star Category, Opeyemi Baking Industry emerged winner, while Kay Jay Zenith Limited and Fulcrum Golden Heritage finished second and third respectively.
Speaking on behalf of the award recipients, Chief Executive Officer of Kay Jay Zenith Limited, Khadijat Amoo, described the recognition as a reflection of the strong partnership between Golden Penny and its distributors.
“This recognition means a great deal to me, and I’m proud to be a distributor with Flour Mills of Nigeria. It has been a rewarding business relationship, and I’m honoured to be part of the Golden Penny family,” she said.
Golden Penny said the conference forms part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen dealer relationships, support market expansion and introduce innovative food products that meet the nutritional needs of Nigerian consumers.
The company added that it remains committed to providing affordable and quality food products while leveraging its dealer network to expand access to its products across the country.
