Governor Muhammadu Yahaya of Gombe State has bemoaned the absence of federal infrastructure like railway in the North East.
Addressing the Federal Character Commission (FCC) delegation led by its chairman, Dr. Muheeba Dankakam, in his office, yesterday, Yahaya lamented that the deplorable state of link roads in the region had turned land transportation to nightmare.
He explained that a journey from Gombe to Bauchi and Pontiskum in Yobe by road that used to be about 45 minutes, “now takes about three hours.”
