The ambitious project, which carries a price tag of N6.6 billion, is expected to be completed within the next 12 months. Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Governor Lawal highlighted the critical need for improved rural infrastructure, citing its significant impact on local farming, business activities, and the social well-being of rural dwellers.

“The near absence of rural infrastructure has severely affected farming and local business activities and hinders the social well-being of rural dwellers,” the Governor remarked. “This project is a testament to our administration’s commitment to improving our transportation system by connecting our towns and villages with access roads.”

Governor Lawal emphasised that the construction aligns with his administration’s broader infrastructural development agenda. This agenda seeks to create an environment conducive to business growth while addressing the state’s security challenges through better connectivity.
