Governor Okowa dissolves boards
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State has approved the dissolution of parastatals in the state.Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Festus Agas, stated yesterday: “Following the dissolution of the exco, the governor has also approved the dissolution of Local Government Service Commission; Delta State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (DESOPADEC) and Governing Council of College of Education, Warri.”
Others affected were governing councils of College of Education, Agbor; School of Health Technology, Ofuoma; School of Marine Technology and Institute of Continuing Education.State’s Hospitals Management Board, Library Board, Christian Pilgrims Welfare Board, Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Board of the Agency for Adult and Non-Formal Education, and Delta State Tourism Board were also affected.
