tarabaTHE Coalition of Taraba Youth, under the umbrella of Liberal Youth Congress ( LYC), has drawn the attention of security operatives to alleged plans by a political party to plunge the state into crisis should the party fail to triumph at the Appeal Court.

The group, yesterday urged the security operatives to forestall the further outbreak of unrest in the state.

Briefing reporters, the state coordinator of the group, Barrister Ibrahim Junguro, want the security personnel to further intensify efforts to prevent persons planning to “ cause a crisis in Taraba from carrying out their plans.”

The group wants the security personnel not to hesitate in bringing to book persons indicted to have been linked to the recent upheavals in the state.
According to him “ it may interest members of the society and Tarabans worldwide to know that there is an ongoing rumour’’ the party’s cronies in the state have been holding series of meetings with a faction of a youth body planning to plunge the state into crises over the pending governorship case on appeal does not favour the party.

Calling on the people, especially the youths to desist from making themselves as tools to foment crises, both APC and PDP in the state, they believed are products “of Muslims, Christians and Atheists.”

Since the November 7th tribunal verdict, the state has been enmeshed in crises, which has led to the death of several persons.

When contacted, a chieftain of the PDP denied the allegation, stating, “ we don’t have any plans to cause crises in the state after the Appeal.”

The chieftain who would not want his name in print said, “ I am sure that you are aware that our spokesman have been expelled from the party and our chairman is not in town to answer your questions. But the truth is that we don’t have the intention to cause chaos in the state.”
