Worried about the lack of access to affordable houses and the escalating housing shortfall in the country, BSTAN Group said it would auction out 1, 000 houses at 45 percent discount to bridge the housing gap in the country, estimated at 17 million houses.

Chief Executive Officer BSTAN Homes, Becky Damilola-Oke, who stated this on Friday in Abuja, said aside from meeting the housing needs of Nigerians, there was also a need to provide affordable houses for low-income earners.

She added that the firm was seeking ways to partner with government at all levels to resolve accommodation challenges in Nigeria.

She said: “Beyond the 45 percent discount, we are giving out on that day for free be it a house or a land. We also have a raffle draw whereby you can win a house or a land for free, it’s our yearly way of giving back to the society and building the GDP of the nation.”
