A one-stop hygiene firm, Amobile Group, has expanded its operations to deepen pest control and sanitation services in Lagos State
The group’s Chief Operating Officer (COO), Damilola Oloruntade, who stated this during the opening of a new facility at Ogba axis of the state to enhance proper pest control chemicals and hygiene, said they were determined to rid the nation’s economic capital of pests.
She noted that improper hygiene by residents and unclean surroundings promote diseases.

The COO said her organisation would expand its branches in strategic local councils of the state to ensure adequate access to effective pest control and sanitation services.
“We are having problem with pests because people do not have access to proper public health chemicals and proper ways to go about it. So, we are bringing cleaning, sanitation, hygiene, and pest control into the neighbourhoods where they really need them. We are opening stores in local councils in Lagos State,” she said.
According to Oloruntade, the organisation is the first of its kind in the country that also provides mobile toilets for parties, bus stops and public areas both within and outside the country.
She said the company would partner with Lagos State government as well as public and private agencies, while also seeking collaboration with regulatory agencies at the seaports to stop importation of pests into the country.
Also speaking, a retired Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Ministry of Environment and pioneer Managing Director of Lagos State Parks and Garden, Dr Titilayo Anibaba, lauded the group for prioritising pest control in the state to achieve a sustainable environment.
She said one of the problems of Lagos is its overpopulation and people’s less adherence to proper sanitation of their surroundings, coupled with the seaports, where imported goods are said to have pests.
Anibaba said with the company and its commitment to addressing the menace, the state would be healed of pests and poor sanitation.
