Niger Delta Progressive Agenda for Change has urged Bayelsa militant leader from Ezeotu, Boyloaf, to end his feud with Tompolo and the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) Administrator, Dr. Dennis Otuaro, for a better Niger Delta devoid of violence and criminality.
Alleged differences between the two former militant leaders over pipeline surveillance contracts and the running of the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP) have affected the smooth running of the programme.
In a joint statement by the president and secretary of the group, Comrade Goddey Enemieye Money and Comrade Henry Oyobolo, they stated that Tompolo is a household name in Ijaw land and the Niger Delta region at large and has worked hard to see peaceful coexistence among the tribes across the region.
They said anyone calling for the replacement of the PAP administrator is an enemy of the Niger Delta region.
Urging Boyloaf to team up with Tompolo, they said he has brought development projects, including the Federal Maritime University Okerenkoko, which they said no other militant leaders have achieved, adding that all they do is self-empowerment, build mansions, and drive exclusive cars.

They noted that under the immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari, the region almost went into extinction, saying, “All federal agencies like the NDDC were mere structures, and every fund meant for projects was used to fund political parties and political functions, and the Presidential Amnesty Programme was as good as dead after President Goodluck Jonathan left office.”
The group said Buhari made sure the amnesty programme was underfunded and appointed an army general who knew little about the struggle and the region. Thus, no one could speak for the people and the region.
They said the Niger Delta was therefore put back to live with patriotic persons from Gbanranmatu, including Mathew Tonlagha and Tompolo, which brings part of the surveillance contract handled by Tantita.
The group stated that President Tinubu, in his Renewed Hope Agenda, promised to tackle the problems of the Niger Delta region and appointed Dr. Dennis Otuaro as the Administrator of the Amnesty Programme, adding that Otuaro has introduced policies and programmes to better the region at large.
They therefore urged Boyloaf and his boys to rally support and help with noble ideas and innovations that will take the region to the next level.
