Gunmen invade Kaduna community, kidnap nine-year-old girl
• CAN Faults El-Rufai Stance On Insecurity
• Urges Him Not To Play Politics With Lives
As gunmen invaded Juji community in Southern part of Kaduna metropolis and kidnapped a nine-year-old girl at the weekend, the Kaduna Chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) has called on the state Governor, Nasir El—Rufai to stop playing politics with the lives of the citizens.
The State CAN Chairman, Revd. Joseph Hayab said there was no time kidnapping and killings ever stopped in Kaduna, while faulting the governor’s comments that “Kaduna-Abuja Highway is now free for motorists to ply.”Hayab lamented over the invasion of Juji community and the kidnap of the girl, just as he added that communities in Kaura Local Council were still mourning the victims of the football tournament and other attacks by armed men, who unleashed terror in the area.
He said: “Little Hannah Adamu Dogara was kidnapped in the early hours today (yesterday), when the gunmen invaded Juji community in Chukun Local Council. Everyone in the neighborhood was asleep when they attacked and started shooting. Nobody could come out. They broke into their home and picked the little girl away.
“My job is to let them know what is happening in the land. The kidnappings and killings have not stopped. Government should stop playing politics with people’s lives.”He called on the government to be proactive in bringing insecurity in the state to an end.
